Founded in 2018, Chicago Blues Revival supports blues and blues inspired music in Chicago, especially in the south and west side neighborhoods that are its historic home. We envision a city where people in these communities know and appreciate the blues as part of their musical legacy, and where young musicians are reinventing this music for future generations.

Our Mission
Supporting Musicians
It’s hard to be a professional blues musician. It doesn’t pay much, the hours are late, and its hard to access benefits that most people with jobs take for granted. We find ways to make it easier for musicians to make a living from their music.
Connecting to the Next Generation
It used to be that young Chicagoans knew and loved blues music. These days most of them have never heard the blues. We’re finding ways for young people to become fans and players of their hometown music.
Organizing Supporters
Other types of music have big organizations to sustain them and committed donors to support them. We want to be the organization that brings people together to support Chicago blues.
